My story
Hi, I'm Amy
I'm Amy S. Holden — a quilter, fabric lover, and the hands behind every stitch at Quilted by Ash. I believe quilts are more than blankets; they're heirlooms, love letters, and stories sewn together one square at a time.
How it all started
My quilting journey began at my grandmother's kitchen table, surrounded by scraps of fabric and the hum of her old sewing machine. She taught me that every piece of cloth has a story, and that patience and intention can turn something ordinary into something extraordinary.
Years later, I started Quilted by Ash as a way to share that same warmth with others. What began as gifts for family and friends quickly grew into a small studio practice rooted in slow, intentional making.
Today I work from my studio in Charlotte, MI, creating custom quilts, wall hangings, and textile art for clients who appreciate handmade quality and the stories woven into every seam.
What I believe in
Slow making
Every quilt is made by hand, one stitch at a time. I don't rush the process — good things take time.
Sustainable fabrics
I source natural, low-impact fabrics and repurpose vintage textiles whenever possible.
Personal connection
Custom orders are a collaboration. I love learning the story behind each quilt and weaving it into the design.
Heirloom quality
Everything I make is built to last generations — not just a season.
Let's make something together
